TAFE NSW Connected Learning Centre Triples Number of Courses Available in Quirindi

Michael Johnsen MP, Member for Upper is delighted to announce that Vocational education and training in Quirindi is set to receive an unprecedented boost with three times the number of courses set to be available in the town through the new multi million dollar TAFE NSW Connected Learning Centre (CLC).

The new multi million dollar CLC in Quirindi is now taking enrolments ahead of its opening in November when it will begin offering in-demand short courses immediately.

“By the start of next year the multi million dollar Quirindi CLC will triple the number of courses available to local students compared to the existing TAFE campus, with many more to come in the future,” Mr Johnsen said.

“I’m particularly excited because this is the first time courses such as Introduction to Health & Community Services, Certificate II in Information, Digital Media and Technology and the Advanced Diploma in Agribusiness Management will be available to local students in Quirindi.

“Local students can also access a huge range of new TAFE Digital courses including Event Management, Building and Construction and a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care at home, work or at the CLC.

“This is an absolute game changer for local education delivery and demonstrates how the NSW Nationals are delivering in government for Quirindi,” Mr. Johnsen said.

CLCs are one of the key initiatives of the NSW Government’s ONE TAFE NSW reforms which will enable TAFE NSW to deliver modern, flexible and industry relevant training across regional NSW.

CLCs will be able to connect students to the TAFE NSW network of flexibly delivered courses across the State, reducing the need for students to travel and enabling a wider range of training to be delivered in the regions.

The Quirindi CLC will be open five days a week and students will continue to have access to practical training, teachers and support services they need to complete their courses.
