Michael Johnsen MP, Member for Upper Hunter recently visited the ladies of the Scone Branch of the United Hospital Auxiliaries to personally deliver the good news that after successful representations to the Minister for Health from Mr. Johnsen the local Auxiliary will receive funding.
Mr Johnsen said the Scone Branch of United Hospital Auxiliaries received a once-off donation of $5,088 to assist the Scott Memorial Hospital Scone to purchase equipment for patient care at the Hospital.
“I am delighted to announce that the donation of $5,088 to the Scone Branch of the United Hospital Auxiliaries will help our local Auxiliary’s fundraising efforts to purchase two pressure guard mattresses for long term patients at the hospital”, Mr. Johnsen said.
“On behalf of the United Hospital Auxiliaries, Scone Branch we sincerely thank Michael Johnsen for his representations on our behalf for this donation. We are very excited to now be able to purchase the 2 mattresses, for the comfort of hospital patients”, said Mrs. Sandra Graham, President of the Auxiliary.
“I congratulate and praise the ladies of our Scone Branch of the United Hospital Auxiliaries for their ongoing commitment and involvement with the hospital and our community”, concluded Mr. Johnsen.
