Michael Johnsen MP, Member for Upper Hunter is delighted to announce that $655,500 in funding will breathe new life into the Gloucester Grandstand in the Upper Hunter electorate through round two of the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund.
“The money for the Gloucester Grandstand will upgrade the grandstand giving Gloucester a profile within the Upper Hunter electorate providing a regional facility for sporting and recreational events. It would also promote community involvement in physical activity”, Mr. Johnsen said.
“I congratulate the Mid Coast Council and look forward to the local sports and community facility improvements that will make the region an even more attractive place to work and raise a family,” Mr Johnsen said.
“The $300 million Stronger Country Communities Fund is part of the NSW Government’s $1.6 billion Regional Growth Fund that is employing local tradies, putting local suppliers to work and providing the right environment to operate regional businesses,” Mr. Johnsen concluded.
